Hi all,
I attended Saturday's protest in Blackrock, and I'm looking forward to the next one.
I see that the next protest has been scheduled to take place on Saturday, 27th June at the Central Bank at 2pm.
I note that the Dublin Pride march will be taking place at around the same time that day (following the route from Parnell Square, down O'Connell Street, and along Dame Street).
Given the increasing size (and noise!) of the parade year after year, the overlap of these events may draw attention away from the Iran protest.
Is it feasible to re-schedule the Iran protest to the Sunday (28th June 2009) at the same time & location?
Kind regards,
- Joan.
Hi Joan,
Thanks for your support. We have now advertised the demo and I think we will have to take our chances on Saturday. I would hope too that we will get some support from the Pride March as it goes past. We will be leafletting this week if you have any time to spare to help....my number is 08623 43 238.
